Speaking loud in public

We focus on supporting people in emergency situations directly and actively. This includes not only counseling and support but also educating the population in the background, encouraging people to rethink and to stand up to discrimination and stereotypes. Especially with the help of regular interviews and press releases, we make an effort to inform the population about structural grievances, our way of mitigating these grievances and our current projects.

The Winter House book and video

For five months in the winter of 2019/2020, nearly one hundred volunteers enabled more than 50 women, men and children to have a roof over their heads for four and a half months, provided by the entrepreneur Heiner Oberrauch. Four volunteers of the winter house (Caroline von Hohenbühel, Maria Lobis, Marion Maier and Rudolf Nocker) collected testimonies and made a book out of it, which gives hope and encouragement. The book was available in an edition of 1,000 copies in the South Tyrolean stores and from the zebra. sellers*, who collected half of the sales price. The remaining proceeds of the book sale will go to our housing project Dorea, where homeless women in precarious situations are supported with the help of temporary housing.
